Grants to Texas and Oklahoma Nonprofits for Arts Education Health and Human Services

The Priddy Foundation® is defended to the back up of programs in human services, education, the arts, and wellness, which offer significant potential for individual evolution and community comeback.

Interested primarily in programs that accept the potential for lasting and favorable impact on individuals and organizations, the Foundation considers grant applications that have a physical location within the following counties:

TEXAS

Archer, Baylor, Childress, Clay, Cottle, Foard, Hardeman, Haskell, Jack, King, Knox, Montague, Stonewall, Throckmorton, Wichita, Wilbarger, Wise, and Young.

OKLAHOMA

Comanche, Cotton fiber, Jackson, Jefferson, Stephens, and Tillman.

Earlier an application is considered, documentation of an exempt nomenclature is required as described in Section 501(c)(iii) of the Internal Revenue Code. Additionally, the applicant must be considered "not a individual foundation" within the meaning of Section 509(a) of the Code. The Foundation neither lends nor grants money to individuals.

Program Grants

The Priddy Foundation® has pregnant interest in requests which create or aggrandize program services. Program requests should deal effectively with identified problems and opportunities. In most cases, programs should exist sustainable beyond the grant period and realistically match the requesting arrangement's mission and capacity.  Organizations should be able to evaluate results confronting defined standards of measurement.

Operating Grants

The Priddy Foundation® considers general operating requests, merely is wary of fostering annual upkeep dependency.  Operating grants typically require a grantee system to present a practicable programme to reach self-sufficiency and may require the organization to enter into a formal consulting arrangement with a Nonprofit Direction Service Organization (MSO) to amend organizational capacity.

Capital Grants

The Priddy Foundation® considers capital projects for buildings and major items of equipment. Approval is more likely if the project has existing, broad support from organizations and individuals. Rarely will The Priddy Foundation's contribution exceed twenty% of the total project upkeep; often it will be much less. Organizations must attain their project fundraising goal and document that raised funds are sufficient to complete the project as presented in the grant awarding before a majuscule grant is funded.

Organizational Evolution Support Grants

The Priddy Foundation® has an interest in increasing the capacity of an organization to serve more effectively in a circuitous and changing world.  Requests for leadership evolution/capacity of lath and staff, planning initiatives, technical assistance, and engineering science enhancements are considered. Organizational development grants must include a comprehensive programme supported past the organization'south lath, exterior professional person assist, if appropriate, and linkage betwixt the leadership development program and the ability of the organization to achieve and sustain its mission more effectively.

The Priddy Foundation®does not typically brand grants for the following purposes:

• Basic or applied research
• Charities operated by service clubs
• Conferences or other educational events except through an organizational evolution grant
• Debt retirement
• Endowments
• Fundraising programs and events
• Grants that impose expenditure responsibleness on the foundation
• Grants that would obligate the foundation to future funding
• Grants to individuals, including individual scholarship awards
• Individual public schools (PK-12)
• Marketing productions or publications
• Organizations that brand grants to others
• Operating deficits
• Previously supported capital projects
• Religious institutions except for non-sectarian, homo service programs offered on a non-discriminatory basis
• School trips
• First-up funding for new organizations
• Volunteer fire departments (requests are supported through a fund established at the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation)

Qualifying organizations should submit a Alphabetic character of Intent, or LOI, (accessed through our website) based on the following grant schedule:

Deadline for Letters of Intent

• February ane
• August one

Deadline for Formal Grant Application

• March 1
• September 1

PLEASE Note**-If the LOI or fomal application deadline date falls on a weekend or a holiday, organizations must submit their application electronically by v:00 PM on the previous business day.

**It ishighly recommended that organizations with a fiscal twelvemonth ending within ONE month of the grant deadline (March 1 or September 1) delay their asking until the next bicycle.

The foundation lath meets in May and November to consider grant requests.

Several steps are necessary prior to a board decision on funding.  Post-obit an arrangement's review of the Foundation'southward guidelines and requirements for appropriateness of the request, the post-obit process occurs:

• Online submission of the Letter of Intent (LOI)
• Organisation is approved or declined to proceed to the total Formal Application
• Approved organizations are invited to attend the Grant Seekers Workshop
• Organizations complete and submit the Formal Awarding by the deadline
• A site visit is scheduled betwixt the Foundation board/staff and applicant organization leadership
• Arrangement receives notification of grant accolade/decline
